Catechetical Ministry Mission and Goals

That Catechetical personnel be formed, trained and assisted in fulfilling their mission of evangelization and catechesis in the parishes of the Diocese.

That catechetical leaders (i.e. Directors/Coordinators of Parish R.E. Programs, youth ministers, adult education ministers, catechists, RCIA team members, etc.) have an opportunity for in-service and professional growth through the Organization of Catechetical Leadership (OCL) meetings and programs.

That opportunities for continuing adult faith enrichment be made available through the Pastoral Institute, the Annual Conference for Catechesis and Ministry and numerous workshops and programs.

That a library and media center be maintained for use by all parishes and people in the diocese.

That various diocesan programs such as Disciples on the Journey be used to evangelize the people in our diocese, Catholic and non-Catholics alike.
